The Purpose of a Shaman

in

The purpose of a shaman is to help people be more connected. A shaman is guided much like a clergy person is, by Spirit/God. A shaman is working for the greater good of all concerned and is here to aid people for healing, feeling happiness and living a good life. The purpose of a shaman is to help others to see their own power in their lives and well being.Image result for shaman

If you have asked them to, a shaman will listen to you, will work with your energy, will think of you often in trying to help you. A shaman would never interfere with your life uninvited. A shaman is here to show how a loving intent can promote balance, health, and healing of body, mind, and spirit.

Shaman’s Spirits Guide

I feel that Spirit guides a shaman by showing information in the way that the shaman can best process it and share it. For me, Spirit will flash pictures or spell words out in my mind, sometimes using book diagrams to get a point across. On my end, I make sure to get a basic knowledge of anatomy and psychology so that I can better interpret what Spirit is telling me.Image result for shaman A shaman can do much healing but is also responsible to guide a “patient” to the proper care for himself. I would say that a shaman should be working alongside traditional care or a respected registered herbalist to produce the best results. The “patient” must take an active role in the healing in order for it to work, but the same holds true for traditional medicine.

Working for the Greater Good

A shaman must always work for the greater good, with loving intent, and with joy filling her heart, and is simply acting on the guidance she gets from Spirit/God. Every one of us is guided by Spirit/God, but not every human is listening. The only difference between a shaman and another human is that the shaman has taken the time and energy to listen and experience her way through life.

It is time in this world for ALL of us to start listening! It is time for ALL in this world to feel how very connected they are to the world around them and to take an active role in making each day a little better as well as being better to other humans and animals. Fear should be removed from our lives and replaced with joy, love, respect, and gratitude. The more energy you give fear, the bigger it gets. We can choose to wipe fear out of our lives. We can use that energy on empowering ourselves and others, use the energy for joy!

Shaman’s Purpose

The purpose of a shaman is to spread the concepts of joy, respect, gratitude, and love. The purpose of a shaman is to help people to connect, both with Spirit and with nature in order to better their lives and consequently the lives of those surrounding them.
